AFC North
Baltimore Ravens
The baltimore ravens had a pretty disappointing season last year, going 11-5 with the raining MVP. Some projections said the ravens were going to go 16-0 or 15-1. Lamar Jackson was pretty disappointing early last season, but then stepped it up late season and even came back to win against the browns. I think Lamar will have a great season like he did in 2019, and will lead the ravens to #1 in the AFC north. The ravens had a solid defense, some say they have a top 10 defense. I think their defense will be a great factor of success next season, especially with that dangerous cornerback core. The ravens main problem are the receivers, one reason why Lamar looked disappointing was because his receivers were horrid. But the ravens helped that problem by signing free agent receiver Sammy Watkins, who is a decent weapon for Lamar. There’s also other offensive weapons like star tight end Mark Andrews and up and coming running back, JK Dobbins. Overall, I think the ravens will surprise lots of people and win the AFC North.
AFC West
Kansas City Chiefs
Honestly, this shouldn’t be a surprise. The chiefs have a top 3 offense and a borderline top 10 defense. The chiefs lost last seasons super bowl against Tom Brady and the buccaneers. But that wont stop them from owning the AFC West. The chiefs have a top 3 quarterback, top 5 reciever, top 3 tight end, and up and coming running back, Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Kansas City are pretty much set on offense, all they need is a better o line, which they will most likely upgrade in the draft. But lets not forget about their defense, star safety Tyrann Mathieu and star defensive tackle Chris Jones. Chiefs defense is already solid, and they did upgrade their defense signing defensive tackle, Jarran Reed. The broncos, raiders and chargers aren’t even close to Kansas City’s level, maybe in the future, but not right now.
AFC South
Indianapolis Colts
This may surprise some of you, because the titans are going to get in their way, but I think it will be the opposite of that next season. The colts already had a decent season last year, going 11-5. The main reason why they lost in the playoffs were because of their quarterback problem. But the colts solved that problem by signing quarterback Carson Wentz. Wentz had a bad season last year, but that’s mainly because the eagles did him dirty by drafting quarterback Jalen Hurts. I think Carson Wentz will have a bounceback year, and might even turn into his 2017 self. We already know that the colts have a top tier defense, that’s the main reason why they made the playoffs. Their receivers, TY Hilton and Michael Pittman Jr. Pittman has a decent rookie season, and TY Hilton disappointed a bit, but that’s most likely because of his QB. They also have a top 15 maybe even top 10 running back, Johnathan Taylor. But what about thee titans? Well they got worse this offseason, overpaying linebacker Bud Dupree, and lost some key pieces to their team. Corey Davis and Malcolm Butler. Do not sleep on Indianapolis next year, they are my dark horse playoff team!
AFC East
Buffalo Bills
The bills won the AFC East last season, going 13-3. The bills do have some competition next season, the up and coming Miami Dolphins, and Bill Belichick and the patriots. But I think they’ll still pull it off. The bills have a superbowl contending team, a top 10 offense and top 15 defense. Josh Allen just had a great year, becoming a runner up for the MVP award! They also have a great receiving core, especially with Stefon Diggs, coming off an outstanding year! But don’t sleep on that defense, having star corner Tre’Davious White, star safety Micah Hyde, and star linebacker Tremaine Edmunds. They have a balanced offense an defense, that will help them win the AFC east and maybe even win the superbowl! In the end, Miami and New England don’t have enough power to win the East.
