The Chicago bears upset the San Francisco 49ers! No one was expecting that. The Chicago Bears open up the 2022 season with a win. An upset win beating a team who has one of the better rosters in football who are in super bowl contention this season. I’m not going to lie in the first part of this game I did not think we were going to win this game. In that first half we had no offensive movement whatsoever and was on the verge of falling asleep in front of my TV. The first half the 49ers had full control and just looked like the better team. The 49ers looked like they knew how to move the ball on sloppy weather and we didn’t. But in the second half things completely switched sides. In that second half the Chicago Bears looked like a completely different team. The play calling was much more aggressive and the run game was actually going places, unlike the first half where it was getting stuffed at the line every time. Things weren’t aggressive in the first half but in the second half we looked more confident and had all the momentum. Justin Fields had back-to-back touchdown passes one to Dante Pettis and Equanimeous St. Brown Which were both wide open. That honestly about did it after that. The 49ers tried marching down the field to try to get there offense going until Eddie Jackson made an amazing read on a route and picked off Trey Lance. After that pick it led the Bears to 19 unanswered points by Khalil Herbert scoring. That put the ice on the cake where the 49ers couldn’t really get down the field that fast to try to make a comeback due to the weather conditions. I’m proud of this Bears team and I am still surprised we won in the first half it wasn’t looking so good. This team fought back in the second half which I love I’m going to be celebrating this win all week!
That is my postgame recap! This was short but went over about everything that was interesting about this game. In my next article I will have a preview article which will be a pregame write up where we play the Green Bay Packers. I’m looking forward to that game where we play our most hated rival on national TV. I have confidence we can give the Packers a run in that with there poor opening performance against Minnesota. I appreciate you taking time to read my article and hope you will read more in the future. Thank you for reading and bear down baby!
