With the Las Vegas Raiders coming off their first win in Week 4, they prepare to face their struggling Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night. As the underdog, Vegas is looking to overcome its counterpart in Kansas City. Las Vegas still has great offensive weapons, but is hampered by poor coaching. Another issue that could hurt Vegas’ chances of winning is their weak defense this year. Vegas also has a terrible history against the Chiefs, winning just once in six games over the last three years. Kansas City has what it takes to make this game a success, but Vegas will go to great lengths to win it. Lets look at my preview vs the Chiefs.
Las Vegas Offensive Bold Gamble
The Las Vegas Raiders enter into week 5 with a 1-3 against the Kansas City Chiefs with a decent offense heading into Week 5. Last week, Josh Jacobs had an impressive 115 yards rushing in their win against the Broncos. Derek Carr who still a good QB even with a weak season. While Josh McDaniels is not a good coach with missed calls, a team that includes Carr, Jacobs, Davante Adams and more offensive talent could lead the team to victory.
Can The Defense Survive
The Las Vegas Raiders could also have a solid defense like they did against Denver last week. Even though the Raiders are ranked below the top 20 defensively, they can still pull out all the stops to win. Las Vegas has two superstar edge rushers, Max Crosby and Chandler Jones, who will do everything they can to stop Patrick Mahomes. Las Vegas must hold down the Chiefs passing game to win this crucial game. The Raiders against the Chiefs even with a weak defense, will need to do everything right to win.
Can The Raiders Win It?
As the underdog, Kansas City has what it takes to make this game a blowout win, but Vegas will do a lot more to win. The attack must repeat its dominant performance in the defense of the bosses. In addition to attacking, the defense must also do well to beat Mahomes and the dominant company. Kansas City is a priority, and the Raiders can turn the tide and save their season.
I have the Raiders winning 40-32 in OT.
