With it being exactly 2 weeks from the Wilds’ first preseason game versus the Blackhawks at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, I thought it would be a good time to write this article going over the off-season moves from the Wild since the draft.
Sammy Walker, a Minnesota Native, and University of Minnesota Captain was signed on August 17 to a 2-year entry level contract. He scored 112 goals in 4 seasons with the Gophers. I feel like he was a good choice being that he is fresh out of college.
The Wild signed Sam Steel to a 1 year contract on August 30. My opinion on this was that he was a bad choice, he is a center and scored only 20 points last season with the Anaheim Ducks. I feel like he won’t do much in terms of production and games that count.
The Wild traded Dmitri Kulikov to the Anaheim Ducks on August 30 for Future Considerations. It was a good trade, except the Wild should’ve gotten something back for this, I could never understand what Future Considerations means.
In the upcoming season, I see Boldy staying in the State of Hockey, Rossi only got one chance last season, and he may have improved over the off-season, we will have to see come preseason, the Wild have to find players that will be able to fill Kevin Fiala’s spot and also Dmitri Kulikov’s spot.
Hope you enjoyed my analysis and comment what you think.

Awesome analysis
Correction, the Wilds first preseason game is versus the Avalanche at Ball Arena, not versus the Blackhawks at Fiserv Forum.
