Ohio State Football Mid-season Review

Ohio State has had a very good year so far, winning all of their games and fixing many lingering problems from last year. Bringing in the new DC Jim Knowles has fixed the biggest problem from last year, his departure and arrival at Ohio State has brought in some new athletes with him, and hopefully will continue to do so in the future. Currently, Ohio State stands at #1 in the Big Ten East and #3 overall in the AP Poll. Also to boast, the Buckeyes of scarlet and gray have beaten all their teams by at least double their score. ND 21-10, Ark. State 45-12, Toledo 77-21, Wisconsin 52-21, and Rutgers 49-10. Their next game is against a sub par Michigan State team who is 2-3 overall and 0-2 in conference play. Team leaders for the buckeyes currently are as follows: Passing yards, Cj Stroud, 1,376 yards, rushing yards, Miyan Williams, 497 yards, Receiving yards, Emeka Egbuka 512, and Tommy Eichenberg with tackles with 42 tackles total. A loss for the buckeyes this year has been Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who hasn’t played since being injuring week 1 against Notre Dame. His return to play date is unknown at this time. Overall, this season is looking great overall for the Buckeyes; high hopes are in sight as the season progresses. Conference and national championships are something of talks this year for the buckeyes, but what will really measure the success of the season for fans of the scarlet and gray, is if they can overcome last years loss to their bitter rival, that team up north, Michigan. Will the buckeyes be able to Beat Michigan and go on to win a Championship or two this year, only time will tell, but until then, GO BUCKS.
