5 Bold Predictions Before The NBA Restart

It feels good to finally have NBA Basketball back, even if it doesn't count. It wouldn't be an NBA restart without some fun bold predictions that would be crazy if they actually came true. So with that being said, lets get into the article.

One Team Goes 0-8:

With playing in the NBA restart came the commitment of staying trapped in the bubble. Well that decision didn't come well for the Washington Wizards. Two of their biggest contributors Bradley Beal and Davis Bertans opted out the bubble. For the Brooklyn Nets they got the corona bug having Spencer Dinwiddie, Deandre Jordan, and Taurean Prince all test positive, plus more. Those two teams have mostly nobodies out their playing and if that isn't enough there are a few teams out there with a tough schedule. That's why I think it is very possible that a team goes out and performs poorly leading to an 0-8 record.

The Houston Rockets Fall Apart:

The Rockets decided to go a different route this season when they traded Clint Capela away. They wanted to experiment a small ball lineup focusing on three point shooting. It will not work for them though. One, they are a terrible team defensively ranking league low in most defensive stats. Two, they don't have many reliable shooters outside of James Harden and one cold night will most likely equal a loss for H-Town.

The Dallas Mavericks Soar To The Top of The Western Conference:

I believe the Mavericks are a very underrated team to make a run this playoffs. They have Luka Doncic, a triple double machine, Kristaps Porzingis, who I believe is probably the most underrated big in the league, Seth Curry, who is a very capable scorer, and players like Tim Hardaway Jr. and Dorian Finney-Smiith who play their roles decently. The Mavs are only 4 games behind the Nuggets for the third seed and I do believe it is very possible they steal it from them.

Dion Waiters Emerges As The Lakers Third Option:

Trust me, Dion Waiters is the real deal. He erupted for 12 fourth quarter points last game and is capable of doing it again. Dion is a three-level scorer with his three point shot standing out.
