In honor of Mike Babcock being fired by the Leafs one year ago today, I thought I'd compare the Leafs record under both coaches.

First under Babcock. The Leafs went 9-10-4. They were 8th in GF, 30th in GA, 18th on the PP, 27th on the PK, 10th in Shots/GP, 25th in SA/GP and 1st in FOW%. Matthews was the leading point-getter finishing 7th with 27 points, Justin Holl had the 46th best +/- with a +7, Matthews was 47th in PPP with 7, Kasperi Kapanen was 11th in SHP with 2, Matthews had the 15th most shots with, 86, and, Frederik Gauthier led all Toronto skaters with a 59.2FOW%.
Under Sheldon Keefe. The Leafs went 27-15-5. They were 4th in GF, 16th in GA, 2nd on the PP, 13th on the PK, 5th in Shots/GP, 17th in SA/GP and 4th in FOW%. Auston Matthews was the leading point-getter finishing 11th with 53 points, Matthews had the 56th best +/- with a +12, Matthews was 12th in PPP with 18, Pierre Engvall was 56th in SHP with 2, Matthews had the 4th most shots with, 204, and, Kyle Clifford led all Toronto skaters with a 75,0FOW%.
Based on the stats above the Leafs were better under Sheldon Keefe than Mike Babcock.
