Bruno Fernandes, since his midseason transfer to Manchester United, has really helped turn things around for the Red Devils. Before joining United, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad looked tired, worn out, devoid of creativity, and struggled to gain points.
The creativity in the middle of the park was almost nonexistent as guys like Fred and Scott Mctominay really struggled to pick out United’s speedy forwards. It certainly didn’t help that Daniel James couldn't buy a goal after his hot start to the Premier League Season.
Yet, Fernandes’ addition brought an immediate impact. Fernandes’ offensive creativity, athleticism, finesse, as well as his knack for knocking in some spectacular goals have helped ignite a newfound energy in United’s forwards. Since the beginning of February no Premier League player has been a part of more goals than Fernandes, showing how he has been more dominant than superstars like Mohamed Salah, Kevin De Bruyne, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Even in Manchester United’s last game, Fernandes netted two beauties in a 3-0 win over Brighton. Now, with English football back in the swing of things, Fernandes’ great run of form has allowed for United to be unbeaten since the restart.
Plus, with Paul Pogba healthy and back to staring, United fans can see Fernandes and the French superstar link up with one another. In fact, minutes after Paul Pogba came on as a substitute against Tottenham, Pogba won a penalty late in the 2nd half, that none other than Fernandes ended up slotting home to lead United to a 1-1 draw.
Now with Fernandes on a roll, Anthony Martial coming off a hat trick only a few games ago against Sheffield United, and Paul Pogba looking like Paul Pogba once again, expect for Manchester United to continue to ride their hot streak as they try and chase down a Champions League Spot.
