Kyle Trask Is Lighting Up College Football

Florida Gators Football team is lucky to have a breakout star. Kyle Trask is coming of notice down in Gainsville. Trask, the starting quarterback for the Florida Gators, has been lighting it up. First, we have to take a step back in the past and see what The Date is September 14, 2019. The Gators were in Lexington, Kentucky to take on the Kentucky Wildcats. The year prior, The Wildcats beat the Gators for the first time since 1986. The Gators were looking to get revenge on the Wildcats. Starting QB Felipe Franks for the Gators was putting up terrible numbers. Franks had 174 YDS, 1 INT, and 1 TD in 3 quarters. Franks went down at the begging of the 4th quarter with a gruesome injury. The Gators were down 21-16 when Franks went down.

In comes Backup Quarterback Kyle Trask. Trask has been with the team for 4 years now redshirting in his freshman year. Trask only got limited playing time in cupcake games or the spring game. The Gators owed Trask a thank you, as Trask came back throwing two touchdowns. The Gators beat the Kentucky wildcats 29-21.

The Gators would Improve to 3-0 on the season with Kyle Trask leading the way. The week after, the Gators would take on Tennessee. This was Trask's first start since the 9th Grade! Trask never started in high school but got playing time. He went to a UF recruiting camp and beat out all of the other QBs. Trask earned a scholarship to UF in 2015. Trask made first career college football start, putting up insane numbers! He put up 293 yards, and 2 touchdowns, capping off a 34 to 3 win against Tennessee. Trask would lead the Gators to a 10 win regular season. Florida beat Virginia In the Capital One Orange Bowl 36 to 28. The Gators won 11 games for the first time since 2012!

In the Year 2020; A Pandemic hit the world causing the world to shutdown. COVID-19 Impacted many lives and jobs across the world. COVID also impacted the sport of College Football. There was no spring practice, and players had to find a way to practice on their own. Kyle Trask worked and worked to be in a position to lead the Gators to the College Football Playoff.

The Date is July 1st, 2020. Kyle Trask returned to the University of Florida Campus to start workouts. Nick Savage, The gators head strength and conditioning coach knew that Trask was destined to be the Star. Coach Savage put him through rigorous workouts and training. According to Coach Savage, Trask lost 13 pounds this offseason. Trask was ready for the 2020 College Football season.

The AP Poll Preason Ranking for the Gators was number 5 in the country. The Gators would travel to Ole Miss for their first game of the season. Trask would put up ridiculous numbers; 416 Yards, and six touchdowns! Kyle looked like he was an NFL QB according to reporters. The Gators would start their season 1-0.

The Gators would come back to Gainsville the following week to take on South Carolina Gamecocks. Trask would put up 268 yards and four touchdowns. The Gators destroyed the Gamecocks, with the final score being 38-24.

Two Weeks ago the Gators would Travel to College Station. Texas A&M Aggies, Was coming off a massive loss to Alabama. The Aggies wanted a bounce-back victory, and so they got it. In the Game versus the Aggies Trask would put up 312 Yards, and another 4 touchdowns. The Offense for the Gators looked amazing, but the Gator’s defense had nothing. The Gators would lose to the Aggies 41 to 38.

The Coronavirus would hit the Gators hard. The following week, the Gators reported 25 COVID-19 Cases. The Gators would cancel their next game against LSU. This weekend, October 31, the Gators will Be back playing Missouri at 7:30 EST.

According to Mel Kiper JR, Trask is projected as one of the top QBs in the 2021 NFL Draft. Mock drafts have him going in the first round, to Tampa Bay or New England. Kyle Trask was never given a chance until last season. He never started in all of high school, and his first 3 years of college. Trask is a humble man, that only wants the best for his teammates. Watch out for Kyle in the future; when all of the lights are on him, Kyle Trask dominates.
