1. Jaguars: Trevor Lawrence QB Clemson
Zero reasoning is needed except the fact it's Trevor Lawrence
2. Jets: Zach Wilson QB BYU
New Jets head coach Robert Saleh has yet to commit to Sam Darnold as the starter or even being on the team next year, My best guess is that the Jets trade Darnold to the Colts. Wilson's exciting backyard style of play would fit perfectly in the big apple.
3. Dolphins: Ja'Marr Chase WR LSU
While the Dolphins do have DeVante Parker he isn't a true number one wide receiver
and when you have a young QB like Tua you need to surround him with targets and guys that create separation at the line of scrimmage and that's definitely Ja'marr Chase.
4. 49ers: Justin Fields QB Ohio State
TRADE ALERT: The 49ers Trade their 2021 1st Round Pick (12th Overall) & 2021 2nd Round Pick (44) and a 2022 2nd Round Pick and a 2022 4th Round Pick to the Falcons for their 4th Overall Pick
The Falcons biggest needs are edge, corner and safety and neither would be a good pick here. I say the falcons best move is to fall back and see how the board falls. I still think the Falcons could take a QB just right now I expect the Falcons to take a QB in the 2nd Round, just because the cap hit of Matt Ryan contract and a first round QB's contracts that would take up more than half of their roster.
The 49ers just the watched the Rams make a splash and upgrade the QB position
and I say the 49ers make their splash in the draft and trade up to get their future QB in Justin Fields.
5. Bengals: Penei Sewell OT Oregon
The Bengals need a tackle and Sewell is best fit for the job. I don't think the Bengals should even think about Rashawn Slater because don't someone who excels at multiple positions and is probably a better guard than tackle. The Bengals need the best overall tackle and that's what Sewell is.
6. Eagles: Patrick Surtain II CB Alabama
Listen we all know the eagles need a receiver but the eagles have two big needs WR and CB, and in my opinion the WR class is deeper than the CB class. Get your Corner now and still get a good receiver in the 2nd. The Eagles can easily kill two birds with one stone. the NFL draft is more than one day after all.
7. Lions: Devonta Smith WR Alabama
Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell traded their franchise QB for Jared Goff and two 1st round pick and a 3rd round pick. But if the lions are trusting Jared Goff to be their QB next year, their going to need to get him some explosive pass catchers. The Lions have so much uncertainty at the receiver position especially with receivers Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones being free agents.
8. Panthers: Trey Lance QB North Dakota State
After hearing the news the panthers tried make a run at Matthew Stafford it shows the panthers are trying to upgrade the QB position and While Trey Lance might not be an immediate upgrade he can sit behind Teddy Bridgewater for a year and learn the position and the NFL playbook. The Panthers can cut Bridgewater in 2022 and only take $6 Million in dead cap and save $21 Million.
9. Broncos: Caleb Farley CB Virginia
Caleb Farley is exactly what Vic Fangio is looking for in a corner. Farley is a long, rangy and very physical corner. Farley would be a perfect pick for Fangio and new general manger George Paton.
10. Cowboys: Rashawn Slater OT Northwestern
I expect the cowboys to bring Dak Prescott back and cowboys are going to need to protect him. The cowboys offensive line looked solid coming into this year but then the injuries hit left tackle Tyron Smith only played two games, guard Zack Martin missed 6 games and right tackle La'el Collins didn't play a single game this year. Slater could start the season at guard and when the injuries and if the injuries come he can flex outside with ease.
11. Giants: Jaylen Waddle WR Alabama
The Giants need to continue to surround Daniel Jones with weapons all over that offensive. Jaylen Waddle adds a vertical threat for Daniel Jones who is quietly one of the best downfield passers to stretch the field.
12. Falcons: Kwity Paye Edge Michigan
The Falcons haven't had a dominant pass rusher since Vic Beasley had his amazing season that helped take the falcons to a super bowl. The Falcons have tried bringing a couple of free agents including Dante Fowler to try and fix their pass rush problem. I think the Falcons should look away from free agency when trying to fix their pass rush problem and trade down draft Kwity Paye.
13. Chargers: Christian Darrisaw OT Virginia Tech
The Chargers already have an explosive offensive, their main priority should be keeping Justin Herbert upright. Christian Darrisaw will immediately slot in as a day 1 starter aside right tackle Bryan Bulaga.
14. Washington Football Team: Mac Jones QB Alabama
TRADE ALERT: The Washington Football Team trade their 2021 1st Round Pick (19th overall) & their 2021 5th Round Pick (164) and a 2022 2nd Round Pick
I couldn't think of a quality pick for the Vikings without reaching for a player, so logically they should trade back and get a player they like.
The Washington Football Team needs a QB even if Alex Smith comes back and Mac Jones is a perfect fit even if Smith starts Mac could sit back and learn. But If Jones needs to start he'd be ready. Jones is the complete opposite of Dwayne Haskins, Jones is a leader, competitor with lightning quick decision making and great football IQ.
15. Patriots: Kyle Pitts TE Florida
The Patriots may need a QB, but they have no targets expect an aging Julian Edelman. Even if you get a QB he would have no one to throw to. In my opinion the pats should try to build a offense around a day 2 QB in Sam Ehlinger or Kellen Mond and just seee if that works. If it doesn't work then they should take a QB next year and at least now you have targets for them to throw to.
16. Cardinals: Jaycee Horn CB South Carolina
The Cardinals play in a divison with some of the best offenses in the league. The Cardinals still haven't got a player who can secede Patrick Petterson. The Cardinals need more young talent to play alongside Bryon Murphy.
17. Raiders: Gregory Rousseau Edge Miami
The Raiders ended up hiring Gus Bradley to be their new defensive coordinator and for Gus Bradley's cover 3 scheme to be effective pressure needs to come from the front 4. For that to happen the Raiders are going to need to improve their defensive line in the draft.
18. Dolphins: Micah Parsons LB Penn State
It's hard to say where Micah Parsons could go due to some off the field issues. Some mocks have him going 15-30, I think the Dolphins take a chance on the athletic freak here at 18. Parsons could do and play a lot of different positions in that Brian Flores defense.
19. Vikings: Alijah Vera-Tucker IOL USC
The Vikings had some really bad guard play this especially by guard Dru Samia. Tucker give the vikings some good guard/tackle flexibility. Tucker is a very technically sound blocker who would definitely improve the Vikings offensive line.
20. Bears: Rashod Bateman WR Minnesota
It sounds like Allen Robinson may be leaving Chicago and yes the Bears need offensive line help but if you lose your top receiver your offense would be pretty bad, especially with uncertainty at the QB position. Bateman is a solid replacement to go along with Darnell Mooney.
21. Colts: Joseph Ossai Edge Texas
The Colts had a top 10 defense and Denico Autry and Justin Houston combined for 15.5 sacks. But the Colts could use an insertion of youth and athleticism. Add Jospeh Ossai into that rotation and their pass rush and run game defense would really improve immediately. Plus run defense is important in a division with Derrick Henry.
22. Titans: Azeez Ojulari Edge Georgia
The Titans didn't get what they hoped for in Jadeveon Clowney and they had little to non in the pass rush game. The Titans need an explosive pass rusher like Azeez Ojulari.
23. Jets: Kadarius Toney WR Florida
With former 49ers pass game coordinator Mike Lafleur taking over as offensive coordinator the Jets are going to need a jet sweep receiver who breaks a lot of tackles like Deebo Samuel. Toney has broken 32 tackles over the course of 80 catches per PFF.
24. Steelers: Najee Harris RB Alabama
While old steelers offensive coordinator Randy Fitcher didn't like to run the ball that much, I expect new offensive coordinator Matt Canada will run the ball a lot more especially with an aging QB in Big Ben.
25. Jaguars: Samuel Cosmi OT Texas
The Jaguars are going to need an upgrade at the tackle position. Left tackle Cameron Robinson has been very inconsistent throughout his 4-year career instead of giving him a new contract the Jags could take the opportunity to try upgrade with Samuel Cosmi.
26. Browns: Zaven Collins LB Tulsa
I don't think this is a pick Andrew Barry could pass up. Zaven Collins is a versatile linebacker with great instincts and explosiveness. Collins would be a strong fit at middle linebacker for the browns, which would put linebacker Jacob Phillips at the strong side linebacker where he could better utilize his speed.
27. Ravens: Terrance Marshall WR LSU
The Ravens wide receiver room is missing a big body receiver, and Terrance Marshall Jr. not only brings that, but he’s outstanding working the middle of the field where Lamar Jackson is best throwing the football. He can serve as a “big slot” and help elevate the Baltimore passing offense. When Miles Boykin and Dez Bryant are your best 6'3 + receivers something is wrong so Terrance Marshall would be a great pick for Baltimore here.
28. Saints: Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah LB Notre Dame
The Saints would be ecstatic if Koramoah falls this far. The Saints would just keep adding talented players to their defense. Koramoah has an amazing athletic ability who can blitz, cover the slot, and just fly around the field.
29. Packers: Asante Samuel Jr. CB FSU
No doubt the packers have a true number one lockdown corner in Jaire Alexander but if you have a lockdown corner chances are your second corner is going to get picked on. The main reasoning behind this pick is the packers have to get faster on defense and that was proved versus the buccaneers when Chris Godwin got matched up Chandon Sullivan or Kevin (Burnt Toast) King.
30. Bills: Nick Bolton LB Missouri
With Matt Milano hunting a new contract and the Bills having little cap space. Milano may be the odd man out in buffalo and Nick Bolton is a perfect replacement.
Bolton is one of the best run defenders in this draft.
31. Chiefs: Jaelan Phillips Edge Miami
There are definitely some injury concerns with Phillips but the chiefs have a very well rounded roster and can take the chance with Phillips. If Phillips is able to stay healthy he could be a really good pass rusher.
32. Buccaneers: Christian Barmore IDL Alabama
The Buccaneers aren't likely to retain Ndamukong Suh with all their other big free agent (Godwin, Barrett, David, etc). The Bucs are obviously trying to win now and Barmore is a flexible player who can plug many holes on the defensive line and keep the Bucs competing for super bowls year after year. Congrats to the Bucs on the super bowl win.
