Rumors were flying around today that Jamal Adams, the Jets Pro Bowl safety, demanded a trade to get out of New York. On his shortlist are seven playoff contenders: the Cowboys, Texans, Eagles, Seahawks, Chiefs, Ravens, and 49ers. Yet, I want to throw another possible landing spot into the mix that I think he would excel in; the Miami Dolphins.

For starters, the Dolphins invested heavily in their defense this offseason bringing in Byron Jones, Kyle Van Noy, Noah Igbinoghene, Shaq Lawson, and Emmanuel Ogbah . Yet, in the secondary they could still do with some extra help.
Yes, they have one of the best cornerback duos in the NFL with Xavien Howard and Byron Jones, but Bobby McCain and Eric Rowe are not safeties that pop off the depth chart. Also, adding a guy like Jamal Adams could help make up for Miami's loss of Minkah Fitzpatrick via trade last season.
Adams is a hard hitting enforcer on the football field, and can do much more than just sit back and ballhawk. Last season, Adams had 6.5 sacks with the Jets, which were more sacks than any Dolphins player had in 2019.
Just imagine trying to throw against a secondary headlined by Xavien Howard, Byron Jones, and Jamal Adams. Plus, the Dolphins have the draft capital to get a deal done. They have two 1st and 2nd rounders this season that they could ship off in a Jamal Adams deal.
However, Adams did not include Miami on his shortlist of teams, meaning that he probably does not want to play in South Beach. On top of that, the Jets would probably never want to trade a guy like Adams to a division rival.
Therefore, coming from a Dolphins fan, this is definitely wishful thinking. Where do you guys think Adams will land? Please leave your predictions in the comment section down below!
