Week 7 of the NFL was a very entertaining and interesting week. Some last second finishes lead to crucial victories for some teams, and heartbreak for others. Here are some of the biggest takeaways
The Cardinals are for real. Arizona took down the 5-0 Seattle Seahawks on SNF to advance to a 5-2 record. They now sit in second place of the NFC West, which is one of the greatest division in the league. They won 37-34, lead by a dominating performance Kyler Murray along with Deandre Hopkins. This offense, with a defense who intercepted MVP candidate Russell Wilson 3 times, can seriously make some noise in their division and in the NFC Playoffs.
Arizona gets their bye next week, then will face the Tua lead, 3-3 Dolphins in week 9.
Tampa Bay is a Super Bowl Contender. The "Tompa" Bay Bucs are now 5-2 and in sole possession of first place in the NFC South. They dismantled a solid Vegas Raiders team this week, 45-20. Tom Brady lead the way with FIVE Touchdowns in a dominant performance. Also, they now add Star WR Antonio Brown after Week 8's game vs the Giants. This offense is proving to become the most star studded in the league, and the Bucs show no signs of slowing down.
The Patriots are in trouble. The New England patriots have lost 3 games in a row for the first time in quite sometime. They were dominated by the 3-3, injury plagued SF 49ers, 33-6. There offense is becoming incredibly stagnant, which lead to the benching of Cam Newton. Cam has not been the same player since getting COVID-19, turning the ball over at an alarming rate. With the loss of many key players, the Patriots Dynasty have not looked the same this season.
They head to Buffalo next week for a potential season ending (or saving) game in the AFC East.
Many other great games this week, young QBs Justin Herbert and Baker Mayfield led the way, leading to crucial team wins. Also the Falcons choked...once again.
A great week of football in week 7, setting up a interesting playoff race for weeks to come.
