Another year of Probowl voting has come and gone. And like every year there are a lot of snubs and a lot of people who should not have made it. And since there are no real pro bowls this year there are no reserves for the teams. So this is who I thought should make the teams with reserves. I am only doing offense and defense.
QB: Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Deshaun Watson
The QBS are the same for both conferences when I looked at the rosters I agreed with all these guys and thought they deserved to make it. If there was a fourth spot open I would have given it to the Rookie Justin Herbert or Ryan Tannehill who has led the Titans to a possible division title and has been playing really well along with it.
RB: Derrick Henry, James Robinson, Josh Jacobs, Nick Chubb
I agree with most of the running backs too but I would have to add Jags rookie James Robinson. He has been a beast this year and is 3 in rushing yards in the NFL. I would also like to point out how impressive it is the Nick Chubb has missed many games this year and is still 5 in rushing yards this year.
WR: Tyreek Hill, Stefon Diggs, AJ Brown, Will Fuller, Kennan Allen, Corey Davis
Since this is not real and we can put suspended players there I would have to put Texans receiver, Will Fuller. He was having a great year before he got suspended and if I were to put another receiver there since Will Fuller was suspended it would be Bengals Receiver Tyler Boyd who is having a decent season even after the loss of Joe Burrow.
TE: Travis Kelce, Darren Waller, Mark Andrews,
If any other tight end in the AFC made it there would have been a big problem, but since we are adding a third guy I have to go with Ravens tight end Mark Andrews.
OL: Tunsil, Fisher, Brown, Pouncey, Kelly, Nelson, Bitonio, Castro
Besides Tunsil I feel like all these guys make it every year since they have all been powerhouses since coming into the league.
DE: Joey Bosa, Myles Garret, Emmanuel Ogbah, Stephon Tuitt
I liked the first two choices for the pro bowl, but I feel like Frank Clark is a bit overrated and does not deserve to make it over Tuitt or Ogbah who have both had very good seasons.
DT: Chris Jones, Deforest Buckner, Cameron Heyward, Calais Cambell
I liked all the picks for Deffennsive Tackles besides the possible biggest snub for the pro bowl Deforest Buckner. Buckner has been a beast this year and should have been in no question.
OLB: T.J Watt, Bud Dupree, Bradley Chubb, Jerome Baker
This might just be me with the OSU bias, but Jerome Baker is having a very good season that I feel is pro bowl worthy. For Bud Dupree, he would have probably made it if it was not for injury as his loss has hurt the Steelers Defense a lot.
MLB: Darius Leonard, Nevill Hewitt, Tremaine Edmunds
I like both of the MLBs taken for the AFC, but there has to be a third and I feel like Jets MLB has had a very underrated season for them. He is top 10 in tackles with 2 sacks and a forced fumble. If he was on a contending team he definitely would have been recognized more.
CB: Xavien Howard, Marlon Humphery, JC Jackson, Kenny Moore
Another position where name got someone on the team. Stephon Gilmore had a fine season, but he got outplayed by his teammate JC Jackson who is second in the league in picks behind Xavien Howard. Kenny Moore also deserves to be there as he has helped the Colts D be as lethal as they have been all season with 4 picks.
FS: Minkah Fitzpatrick, Justin Simmons
Just like last year, these two guys have been the best free safeties in the AFC. there is no one else I would add as these two guys have been dominant again.
SS: Tyrann Mathieu, Jordan Poyer
Jordon Poyer has put together another solid season for the Bills as he is top 10 in tackles with 2 sacks and 2 picks as Bill's Safeties helped them with the AFC East.
QB: Aaron Rodgers, Russel Wilson. Kyler Murray
I agree with all the like I said before but if I had to put another guy in I would probably play Tom Brady who has put up another great season at the Age of 43.
RB: Dalvin Cook, Alvin Kamara, Aaron Jones, David Montgomery
When I was looking over the stats I saw that David Montgomery is 4th in rushing yards in the NFC and 6th in receiving yards for backs in the NFC, 7th overall. even though for the better part of the season the Bears including Montgomery have struggled to run the ball his burst these past few weeks has been incredible and he definitely deserves to be recognized at least, but I would not say he was snubbed beacuase of his slow start.
WR: Deandre Hopkins, Davante Adams, Calvin Ridley, DK Metcalf, Justin Jefferson, Allen Robinson
Even though Arob might be one of the most underrated receivers in the league the voters really made it seem like that title belongs to Calvin Ridley as he is 3rd in the NFC in receiving yards and has been balling all season. For Arob you can say that all the receivers before him have had better seasons, but for Ridley, it is just wrong that he got snubbed.
TE: TJ Hockenson, Logan Thomas, Robert Tonyan
In one of the weirdest picks of the year, Evan Engram made the pro-bowl. He has been riddled all season with bad drops and an overall disappointing season. Tonyan was one of the better stories this year as he was one of the better red zones tight ends in the league. Logan Thomas has also been dangerous all over the field this year as he helped Alex Smith and the football team be in first in the NFC East.
OL: David Bakhtiari, Trent Williams, Brandon Scherff, Elgton Jenkins, Andrus Peat, Jason Kelce, Frank Ragnow
Again it seems like all these guys besides Elgton Jenkins make it every year since they are so consistent.
DE: Cameron Jordan, Trey Hendrickson, Leonard Willams, Chase Young
How did the guy who is top 3 in sacks in the NFL not make it? Hendrickson has been a beast all year and he and Cam Jordan made the Saints a top 5 defense in the NFL. For Leonard Willams, he is having another great season with not many people paying attention with 8.5 sacks.
DT: Aaron Donald, Fletcher Cox, , Grady Jarret, Akiem Hicks
Another year and another snub for the glue to the Bears Deffense. Akeem Hicks is the most valuable player on this Bears D as he makes a play every game and every where on the field. The one game he missed this year was the Deffenses worst game of the year against the Packers where Aaron Jones ran up and down the field right up the middle.
OLB: Khalil Mack, Za'Darius Smith, Hassan Reddick, JPP
If the Fans were going to put JPP in how could they leave Hassan Reddick out. He is having a great game outside of his 5 sack 3 FF performance. Outside of that game he still has 6 sacks and 2 forced fumbles on 54 tackles.
MLB: Roquan Smith, Fred Warner, Devin Smith
Roquan Smith had to be the biggest snub of the pro bowl as he has been playing this year as a top 1 or 2 linebacker. He is another guy that would have made it if the Bears had a competent offense to help them get more wins. When this D has struggled at times RO has always played at an All-Pro level. Maybe besides Darius Lenoard, there has been no MLB who has been better this year.
CB: Jalen Ramsey, Marshon Lattimore, James Bradberry, Kyle Fuller
The reason Fuller did not get his third straight selection to the Pro Bowl is that opposing QBs stopped throwing his way and started throwing towards rookie Jaylon Johnson who has also had a great year and Buster Skrine who has not had a great year. Fuller is still one of the top CBs in the league and has learned to his opponents hard this year.
FS: Quandre Diggs, Marcus Willams
It sucks that Marcus Willams career will always be overshadowed by the Minnesota Miracle, he was only a rookie and has gotten much better since then. he got snubbed this year and deserved to be there just as much as Quandre Diggs.
SS: Buddha Baker, Adrian Amos
Amos has put together another great season in Green Bay with his hard-hitting mentality. Amos and Baker have both been really good this year and both deserve to make it.
