The Minnesota Vikings currently sit at the 8 seed in the NFC Playoff race, one game behind the Arizona Cardinals for the last playoff seed. Both teams have decently easy and hard schedules coming up. I'd say Arizona has a easier schedule.
Cardinals Upcoming Games: AT NYG, vs PHI, vs SF, AT SF
Arizona currently still sits at 6-5, and Minnesota is 5-6. If Arizona loses 1-2 more games, and Minnesota wins all or 4 of there upcoming games, Minnesota would have the tiebreaker based on divisional record.
Minnesota upcoming schedule: vs JAX, AT TB, vs CHI , AT NO, vs DET
If we hope that Minnesota can win out, which I see unlikely, with Tampa and New Orleans, but if that happens Minnesota is in. One loss for Arizona, and one for Minnesota also puts them in the playoffs. If we are lucky enough to see Arizona lose out, and Minnesota just wins 1 game, Minnesota would still be in. There is tons of talent on this roster to make the postseason, and mabey even win a few playoff games or so.
Kirk has been balling out, if Cook can stay healthy he's an MVP canidate, Jefferson and Thielen are a monster duo, the o-line has been better, with Center Garrett Bradbury not doing to bad, LT Rylie Reiff has allowed 1 sack this entire year, RT Brian O’Nille is very young, underrated, and an absolut monster in general. Guard has been an issue, rookie Ezra Cleveland has been good when health, Samia has been benched, who is ranked last in all NFL players acording to PFF. Brett Jones was ok against Carolina. Dakota Dozier is on again off again.
Onto the deffensive side, Ifeadi Odenigibo has been quietly doing good, DJ Wonnum has been doing insane, DT has been and issue. At linebacker the 3 Eric’s, Kendricks and Wilson are both tied for most picks as a linebacker, 3, and Kendricks leads the team in tackles, per ussual. Rookie Troy Dye has had his moments. At corner Mike Hughes has been hurt alot this year, Gladny has managed to stay healthy all year, Dantzler, who had that neck injury at Green Bay, has came back strong.
Kris Boyd is ass lets face it, same with Chris Jones who let up that key touchdown during the Dallas game, Harrison Hand hasnt done much. Harrison Smith is just being Harrison Smith, 3 INTs, best saftey in the NFL. Anthony Harris isnt prooving he deserves to stay in purple. He has 0 picks, and not many tackles either.
Dan Bailey hasn't done to bad at kicker. I belive only 1 miss the entire year. Britton Colquit has had his moments at punter. Special Teams has been a issue, 3 punts blocked, and we have blocked 1. Many muffed punts, and a ? At PR, with Osborn deactivated, and Beebe being questionable with his returning skills. This team has tale and just needs to excecute the next few weeks.
