A few days ago I wrote the top 10 point guards this year. Now it's time to rank the best shooting guards this year. A couple things to note. One, Luka Doncic will be ranked as a small forward. Two, These rankings are based off this season. Alright let's get started.
At number 10 I have Spencer Dinwiddie. Dinwiddie had a great year and was even considered for the all star game!! Diwniddie is a geat all around scorer and playmaker. If he doesn't get traded next year, he could be a super valuable asset on a possilbe championship team. I have full confidence in Dinwiddie's abilities and think he was great this year. Spencer Dinwiddie is averaging 20.6 pts, 6.8 ast, and 3.5 reb.
At number 9 I have CJ Mccollum. Now I know this may seem very low for Mccollum but the oly reason for this is because he had a disappointing season. This year was kinda a slump for him but that isn't to bad because we know what level he can play at and next year he should be back to that level. CJ Mccollum is averaging 22.5 pts, 4.3 ast, and 4.1 reb.
At number 8 I have Jaylen Brown. Brown had a great season and was an arguable top 5 most improved player candidate this year. Brown is a great 2 way player and a key asset on one of the best teams in the eastern conference. The duo of him and Jayson Tatum literally has the potential to be the best duo in the NBA in a few years in my opinion. I think this season is a sign for future things to come from Jaylen Brown. To be honest, I think Jaylen Brown is somewhat underrated but this season is a sign of future things to come. Jaylen Brown is averaging 20.4 pts, 2.2 ast, and 6.4 reb.
At number 7 I have D'angelo Russell. Russell had a great season with the warriors until he got traded at the trade deadline to the timberwolves. D'angelo should be great with them because the duo of KAT and Russell sounds pretty scary. That's not even mentioning the other great role players on the wolves either. This could even become a big 3 if you read my first article. All I know is Russell is great!! D'angelo Russell is averaging 23.1 pts, 6.3 ast, and 3.9 reb.
At number 6 I have Jrue Holiday. Holiday in my opinion is one of the most underrated players in the league. He is a lockdown defneder while being one of the best 2 way players in the game right now. Holiday should be a great asset for the Pelicans as a verteran for a young core which should be great for the future. Jrue Holiday has the ability to lock up some elite players and that is incredible!! Jrue Holiday is averaging 19.6 pts, 6.9 ast, and 4.9 reb.
At number 5 I have Devin Booker. Already at the age of 23 Booker is one of the most elite scorers in the league!! This is incredible but that's not all. Aside from being a great scorer, Booker is a good playmaker and a great leader. Booker's all around offensive game is amazing. Devin Booker is averaging 26.1 pts, 6.6 ast, and 4.2 reb.
At number 4 I have Donovan Mitchell. From one great young player to another. Donovan Mitchell is a great scorer, ball handler, and fantastic leader. The Jazz are having a great year this year and that is mainly for 2 reasons. One is the depth in the roster and 2 is the leadership up Donovan. It's incredible to see. Nothing is being taken away from Gobert though. Gobert is the defensive anchor down low although Gobert and Mitchell will likely be separated. Donovan Mitchell is averaging 24.2 pts, 4.2 ast, and 4.4 reb.
At number 3 I have Bradley Beal. Beal is at the top of the league in scoring!! He is incredible at getting buckets! It is just a shame he was snubbed from the all star game. In fact that is arguably the biggest all star snub of all time. Aside from that, Beal has pretty much been carrying the Wizards this year but hopefully John Wall can return well. Even if Wall returns, I feel Beal will still be the star on the team which is good for him and his numbers. Beal is averaging 30.5 pts, 6.1 ast, and 4.2 reb.
At number 2 I have Paul George. Paul George did not play many games this year but he played enough. The fact is we know that Paul George is a fantastic player even if he didn't play the most games. Paul George is still one of the best 2 way players in the league and I think Paul George will be great come playoff time. Paul George is averaging 21.0 pts, 3.9 ast, and 5.7 reb.
At number 1 I have James Harden. Is anyone surprised? James Harden is a leading the league in points thisyear and is arguably a top 5 player in the NBA this year. We all know how good Harden is. What's interesting is how the rockets will do with their new system. How well will they do in the playoffs? I think Harden will be a key factor in whether or not this works. I can't wait to see it. James Harden is averaging 34.4 pts, 7.4 ast, and 6.4 reb.
That is my list!! What do you think?
