Week 10 Game Takeaways

Week 10 is probably the most entertaining so far. A game-winning hail mary, big yardage plays, close games, and limited in-game injuries. Questions have been answered and formed on certain players' ability to win and continue to play at a high level. Pittsburgh stays perfect at 9-0 as well as furthering their division lead.

Week 10 Byes: Kansas City Chiefs, Atlanta Falcons, New York Jets, and Dallas Cowboys

Indianapolis Colts(6-3) AT Tennessee Titans(6-3)

Nyheim Hines shines on primetime

Once again, AJ Brown was a nonfactor

Indianapolis ends up winning 34-17 on Thursday Night and takes first place in the AFC South.

The Colts traveled to Nashville, Tennessee, many people thought this was an easy Titans victory, Hines and the team had different plans. Nyheim Hines had 115 total yards and was the team's second receiver with 45 yards, he also caught and ran a touchdown. Hines's runs were set up with amazing blocks and his fantastic vision as a runner. He got the offense going in the first quarter with his running. With Taylor not running well, Nyheim seems to be the temporary number one RB.

Next Game: VS Packers Sun, 11/22/20 12:25 pm

Once again I am mentioning how Tennessee went away from AJ Brown after the first couple of drives. Last week against Chicago, Brown was targeted nine times and he caught four passes for 101 yards and a touchdown. Tennessee got him in space and threw at him throughout the game, unlike his four targets one catch game for only 21 yards. The offense struggled to move the ball and Henry didn't get going until Indy was comfortably ahead. In order for their offense to be successful, AJ Brown must be apart of the gameplan.

Next Game: AT Baltimore Sun, 11/22/20 9:00 am

Jacksonville Jaguars(1-8) AT Green Bay Packers(7-2)

Jake Luton shines in tough loss

Packers' defense clutches up in final minutes

An impressive performance by Jacksonville cant stop the Green Bay pressure, Packers win 24-20.

Luton started his second NFL game on Sunday, he went 18/35 for 169 yards and a touchdown along with an INT. Luton escaped multiple sacks and made plays throughout the game. Luton threw some impressive passes and stood in the pocket like a veteran. Jacksonville stayed competitive and it was a shock to many people as well as Green Bay. Jacksonville plays an opponent who they play extremely tough, Luton will be tested next week.

Next Game: VS Steelers Sun, 11/22/20 9:00 am

The Green Bay defense has massive holes, injuries to starting corners, most notable Jaire Alexander, and the lack of run defense. But despite all that the Packers stalled the Jaguars offense on the final drive by sacking Luton twice and applying pressure. Green Bay had just under 40 tackles, three sacks, and a turnover. Green Bay will need defense for next week's matchup.

Next Game: AT Colts Sun, 11/22/20 12:25 pm

Tampa Bay Buccaneers(7-3) AT Carolina Panthers(3-7)

Ronald Jones gashes Panthers defense

DJ Moore has first big game since week 7

Tampa Bay pulled ahead after a 98-yard touchdown run by Ronald Jones, Buccaneers win 46-23.

Ronald Jones enjoys a dominating career performance against the Panthers. Jones ran 23 times for 192 yards and a touchdown, he averaged 8.3 yards per carrying. This is what Tampa Bay saw when they named him their 2020 starting running back. He has only had one other 100+ yard rushing game, that came in Week five. Rojo could be breaking out into a star or he could have just had a good game, whatever it is he might be in line to do more of it.

Next Game: VS Rams Mon, 11/23/20 4:15 pm

DJ Moore was finally involved in Carolina's offense, and they almost won. DJ Moore caught four passes for 96 yards and a score, his best game of 2020. Like AJ Brown, the offense scores more and spreads out the defense when Moore is involved. DJ caught a 38-yard pass along the sidelines and had an impressive 24-yard touchdown. The ball moves smoother when DJ Moore touches it.

Next Game: VS Detroit Sun, 11/22/20 9:00 am

Houston Texans(2-7) AT Cleveland Browns(6-3)

Houston's offensive struggles continue

Chubb has 100+ rushing in the first game back

Cleveland experienced a weather delay, rainy and windy conditions caused Cleveland to win 10-7 in a low scoring affair.

Deshaun Watson is the only offensive superstar Houston has, also may I add he is the team's only source of positive yards rushing wise. Watson went 20/30 for 163 yards and a touchdown, as well as 36 yards on eight carries. The Texans accumulated 243 total yards on 54 plays, as well they couldn't stop the Cleveland run game. The team better get focused as they face a tough AFC East opponent next Sunday.

Next Game: VS New England Sun, 11/22/20 9:00 am

Nick Chubb is fresh off a recent stay on the IR, and did Cleveland miss him. Chubb was Clevland's last 100-yard rusher in Week three, that's five weeks without someone running for 100 yards or more. Nick ran 126 yards on 19 carries and a touchdown, he almost had two scores but stepped out of bounds at the one-yard line by order of his coach. Kevin Stefanski later went on to mention how Chubb follows directions and does what is asked, someone you want on your football team. The Browns are starting to get back into the swing of things.

Next Game: VS Eagles Sun, 11/22/20 9:00 am

Washington Football Team(2-7) AT Detriot Lions(4-5)

Alex Smith doesn't need good weapons to have a career game

Detriot's special teams keep bailing them out

The Lions spoil Alex Smith's first start since his leg injury in 2018, Prater saves the game as it ends with a 30-27 score in Detriot's favor.

Alex Smith has been pretty mediocre over his career, he had more success in Kansas City after arriving there in 2013. He led them to multiple playoffs berths. Smith had a career game on Sunday, he threw the ball 55 times and completed 38 of those attempts, as well as 390 yards and no touchdowns or turnovers. The running game took over the scoring but it was Alex Smith who led each scoring drive and red-zone trip. With only one good receiver on the field, Alex proved you don't need playmakers to throw for hundreds of yards.

Next Game: VS Cincinatti Sun, 11/22/20 9:00 am

Matt Prater has come in clutch on multiple occasions this year, and the circumstances have not been easy. Detroit had a 24-3 lead halfway until near the end of the third. Prater hit a longer extra point against the Falcons during Week seven, Prater is a perfect 24/24 from extra points. Matt is also 4/7 from 50+ field goal attempts as well as from 40-49 yarders. Lastly, Prater keeps Detroit in the game and has continuously put them in the win collum since he's been a Lion.

Next Game: AT Panthers Sun, 11/22/20 9:00 am

Philadelphia Eagles(3-5-1) AT New York Giants(3-7)

Philly gets a much needed offensive boost back

Daniel Jones continues to run

New York shockingly beat a division rival on Sunday, Wayne Gallman helped boost a 27-17 Giants victory.

Miles Sanders is back after a three-week stay on the sidelines. He wasn't the primary scoring back nor was he the primary back. He did lead the team with 15 carries and 85 yards, Boston Scott and Corey Clement each had a touchdown. With limited receiver talent and Zach Ertz still out, Miles Sanders is a huge boost to the offense and scoring. The Eagles will surely need him next week and for the remainder of the season, they are more balanced with him dressed in pads.

Next Week: AT Browns Sun, 11/22/20 9:00 am

Daniel Jones led the team in rushing once again, he had 64 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Daniel did not fall when rushing for his touchdown. Jones has 384 yards rushing on 49 carries, he leads the team in rushing. He also had 244 yards passing on 21 completions, no turnovers mark the second straight game without one for the young quarterback. New York heads into their bye week holding second place in the NFC East.

Next Week: BYE

Buffalo Bills(7-3) AT Arizona Cardinals(6-3)

Cole Beasley quickly becoming a more targeted player

DeAndre Hopkins is the best receiver in the league

Kyler Murray throws a tough touchdown pass as time expires to win 32-30.

Josh Allen has been targeting slot receiver, Cole Beasley a lot since Week seven. He is usually targeted on long sideline passes or in the red-zone, Beasley did catch a 35-yard touchdown along with ten other catches for 74 other yards, bringing his statline to eleven catches for 109 yards and a touchdown. Josh Allen and the Bills head into their bye week just a game ahead of the Dolphins in the AFC East.

Next Week: BYE

I've personally believed DeAndre Hopkins has been the best receiver in the past four years and on Sunday he showcased why. Kyler Murray threw a 43-yard hail mary to Hopkins from the near sideline, he caught it in triple coverage with a single second remaining. Nuk has the best hands in the NFL, the number of spectacular catches he has made throughout his career is uncountable. Kyler's throw is not talked about a lot, it was an amazing throw that threw him off balance. Most QBs would have been sacked but thanks to his speed Kyler gave DeAndre a chance. Arizona is currently in a three-way tie for first place in the NFC West, they hope to break that tie on Thursday night against the Seattle Seahawks.

Next Game: AT Seattle Thu, 11/19/20 4:20 pm

Denver Broncos(3-6) AT Las Vegas Raiders(6-3)

Drew Lock proved costly for Denver

Josh Jacobs carries his team

Drew Lock's four turnovers cripple their offense, Jacobs runs to a 37-12 Raider win.

The Denver offense never really took off, part of that falls on Drew Lock. Lock wasn't sacked much so he must have made bad reads, he threw 257 yards and a touchdown on 23 completions. The Broncos run game only totaled 66 yards which were spread out between four ball carriers. The entire team fell off this game, Denver is looking less and less like a playoff team and more of a team still needing some rebuilding to be done.

Next Game: VS Dolphins Sun, 11/22/20 12:05 pm

Las Vegas relied heavily on the run game against a struggling Denver run defense. Josh Jacobs ripped the Denver defense for 112 yards and a pair of touchdowns, as well as four catches and 24 yards. Derek Carr had just 154 yards passing on 25 attempts, they ran the ball 41 times and totaled 203 yards and four touchdowns. The Raiders finally seemed to give Josh the ball in the right situations and hopefully, they can keep that going.

Next Game: VS Chiefs Sun, 11/22/20 4:20 pm

Los Angeles Chargers(2-7) AT Miami Dolphins(6-3)

Chargers should start to look at the draft

Miami is rolling

The Dolphins took control early and didn't give up the lead, Miami wins 29-21 and is a game out of first place in the AFC East.

The season is lost for the Chargers, it is time to look towards next year and see what they can get to improve Herbert's success. The defense also needs younger corners and maybe a pass rusher because Melvin Ingram is getting old. A running back would be ideal, Ekler remains injured and Justin Jackson is on IR, rookie Joshua Kelly isn't doing well either. An offensive line addition isn't always bad either, anyway, it's a lost season.

VS Jets Sun, 11/22/20 12:05 pm

Miami is in a rhythm, Tua is playing well and so is the defense. Jason Sanders booted three field goals, Tua threw two touchdowns, and Salvon Ahmed ran it and totaled 29 points. Tagovailoa wasn't sacked once and threw for 169 yards while going 15/25. The defense intercepted Herbert once and sacked him twice. The Dolphins are only a game out of first place, suddenly they turned into playoff contenders.

Next Game: AT Broncos Sun, 11/22/20 12:05 pm

Seattle Seahawks(6-3) AT Los Angeles Rams(6-3)

The offensive line is terrible

Jalen Ramsey covered Metcalf to perfection

Russel Wilson is losing his MVP touch; Ramsey holds DK off as L.A. wins 23-16.

The offensive line for Seattle has been terrible the past few years, against the Rams they allowed six sacks and Wilson was the leading rusher, anytime a team's quarterback is the leading rusher it means the line isn't blocking. Seattle has an average of giving up 3.3 sacks per game, which is ranked 30th worst in the league and Wilson has been sacked thirty times this year. Will the Seahawks invest in an O-lineman in the 2021 draft?

Next Game: VS Arizona Thu, 11/19/20 4:20 pm

Jalen Ramsey was assigned a hard task, cover DK Metcalf. Ramsey did it quite well only allowing two catches for 28 yards on four targets. Ramsey only had two tackles but was an impact of the two interceptions Russell threw. Although he does have an attitude, he is the best corner in the league arguably.

Next Game: AT Tampa Bay Mon, 11/23/20 4:15 pm

Cincinnati Bengals(2-6-1) AT Pittsburgh Steelers(9-0)

Joe Burrow reminded its hard to be a rookie QB

Big Ben doesn't need practice

Roethlisberger and company stay perfect at 9-0, beat Bengals 36-10.

Joe Burrow got his first taste of the Steelers and it did not look like he enjoyed it. Tee Higgins was his only source of offense with seven catches for 115 yards and a touchdown. Joe was confused and Pittsburgh sent the blitzes to confuse the rookie. It is expected that the next meeting between these two teams in week 15 will be better.

Next Game: AT Washington Sun, 11/22/20 9:00 am

Ben Roethlisberger played amazing for not practicing all week. Ben threw for 333 yards and four touchdowns and no interceptions, his ninth game where he has 300+ yards and four touchdowns without any interceptions. The run game was terrible as it only totaled 44 yards on 20 carries. Roethlisberger once again called his own plays and improvised on the two touchdowns to rookie Chase Claypool. If Pittsburgh wants to get far into the playoffs, the running game will need to improve significantly.

Next Game: AT Jacksonville Sun, 11/22/20 9:00 am

San Fransisco 49ers(4-6) AT New Orleans Saints(7-2)

Without Deebo, Kittle, and Bourne, Aiyuk is the number one

Drew Brees has multiple ribs injured

Drew Brees suffers broken and cracked ribs and Kamara has a hat trick in New Orleans's 27-13 win.

Brandon Aiyuk was once again the top target and performer on the 49ers offense. He caught seven of 14 passes for 75 yards and a score. Brandon has lived up to his first-round selection when there was doubt about him being a top 32 talent. When their entire roster is healthy, this team will be scary good.

Next Week: BYE

Drew Brees has suffered cracked/broken ribs on both sides and a collapsed lung. Before his halftime exit, Drew threw for 76 yards and a touchdown, he was reported to already be dealing with rib problems before this game. Jamis Winston will take over for the next few games at least, Taysom Hill will also be taking snaps at quarterback.

Next Game: VS Atlanta Sun, 11/22/20 9:00 am

Baltimore Ravens(6-3) AT New England Patriots(4-5)

Ravens offense is predictable

Cam Newton making better decisions

Patriots have started to turn their season around with a 23-17 win on Sunday Night.

By now I think most teams know the ball is going to either remain in Lamar's hands or go to Mark Andrews with the occasional run and deep shot. Sometimes it works but it gets repetitive, no wonder NFL teams are calling Baltimore's plays at the LOS. Baltimore is used to playing from ahead, keeping leads, they aren't as used to being in dog fights or coming back. While people continue to put Lamar on blast, it should be seen as a learning opportunity for Jackson and the rest of the team. Lamar is the x-factor, if he goes then Baltimore won't be as explosive.

Next Game: VS Titans Sun, 11/22/20 9:00 am

Cam Newton has all of the sudden turned his play around, he has been a turnover machine this year but he had no turnovers on a rainy night. Cam threw the ball only 17 times and totaled 118 yards and a touchdown. Newton also looked sprier in the pocket as well when he was running. The Patriots might slip into the playoffs if they keep on this win streak they have going on.

Next Game: AT Texans Sun, 11/22/20 9:00 am

Minnesota Vikings(4-5) AT Chicago Bears(5-5)

Justin Jefferson continues to flash talents

The Chicago o-line is just painful to watch

Minnesota relies on the passing game to beat Chicago 19-13 on Monday night to close out Week 10.

Justin Jefferson had another 100-yard game, his fourth of the year. 135 yards and eight catches on ten targets, Jefferson was a huge part of the offense. Justin was projected to be near the second round, he was the 22nd overall pick, proving he was worth it there.

Next Game: VS Cowboys Sun, 11/22/20 12:25 pm

The Bears offensive line is a failure, it cannot give Nick Foles three seconds of time. Although he was sacked twice, he was pressured and hit multiple times. Foles had 106 passing yards on 15/26. The running lanes were also not there as Chicago only totaled 41 total rushing yards. Chicago heads into their bye week hoping to get Nick Foles and David Mongomery healthy.

Next Week: BYE

Week 11 Byes: San Fransisco 49ers, New York Giants, Buffalo Bills, and Chicago Bears.
