Wild Resign Jonas Brodin

Wild General Manager today announced that Jonas Brodin has resigned with the Wild. He resigned for 7-years with a $42,000,000 extension with a $6,000,000 annual value. This contract begins in the 2021-22 season and goes through 2027-28.

Jonas Brodin had 2 points in the postseason this year. He had 28 points in the regular season. He ranks fourth in plus/minus rating, fourth in blocked shots and assists and fifth in scoring in franchise history amongst team defenseman.

Brodin had a +15 rating when the 19-20 season ended. He had 24 penalty minutes and 112 blocked shots in 69 games this season. He set a career high in points and assists this season.

He has 146 points with the Wild in his career, a +47 rating, 162 PIM, and 890 blocked shots. He was drafted 1st round (10th overall) in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
