Raiders @ Chiefs: MNF Matchup Preview

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are at Arrowhead Stadium tonight looking to take down their divisional rival, the Las Vegas Raiders. Patrick Mahomes is 22-3 against the AFC West through his incredible and young career, he is looking to keep that trend going tonight. Mahomes has only lost to the Raiders once. It was in a midday showdown in 2020 where the Raiders took down the Chiefs 40-32 which ended the Chiefs’ undefeated season. Last year Mahomes went 2-0 vs the Raiders last year in blowout fashion both times.

The Las Vegas Raiders have not been the team I expected going into this season. Coming off a playoff season with a backup head coach, they add Chandler Jones, Davantae Adams, and more, you think they would be better, right? No. The Raiders are 1-3 and don’t look like they match up against the 3-1 Chiefs very well. The Chiefs are coming off a HUGE win against Tampa Bay where the offense looked unstoppable and the defense looked top-tier. The Defense only gave up 3 rushing yards last week, while Josh Jacobs is coming off of a big performance on the ground a week ago. So I’m interested in how well Jacobs will play tonight.

The Chiefs are favored in this game as expected. My final game score is 42-21 Chiefs, and my game MVP is Patrick Mahomes.
