Top 5 2021 NFL Sleeper Teams

When I was doing my 2021 predictions, (look out for those soon), I realized I had some teams doing better then a lot of people thought they would. So I got the idea to make this article. Here are my top 5 sleeper teams for the 2021 NFL season!

5. Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings are coming off a disappointing 2020 season, finishing 7-9 and missing the playoffs. They have a now-healthy defense and improved there bad offensive line in the draft, and signed defensive starters, DT Dalvin Tomlinson and CB Patrick Peterson. They had a bottom 5 run defense last year, with the starters being DE’s Ifeadi Odenigbo and rookie DJ Wonnum, and DTs Shamar Stephen and Jalyn Holmes. Now, they have DE’s Danielle Hunter, DJ Wonnum and Stephen Weatherly who came back after a year away in Carolina, and DTs Michael Pierce and Dalvin Tomlinson, which I think is a top 3 D-Line. There O-Line went from Riley Reiff, Ezra Cleveland, Garrett Bradbury, Dakota Dozier, and star underrated RT Brian O’Neill. Now, they have Christian Darrisaw, Wyatt Davis, Garrett Bradbury, Ezra Cleveland, and Brian O’Neill. Thats top 10 right there. Kirk with time, DEADLY. I think they will go 11-6, 7th seed, and win 1 playoff game.

4. Baltimore Ravens

Lamar will prove that he is not a running back. The Ravens got him weapons in Sammy Watkins and Rashod Bateman. He still has Mark Andrews, and Hollywood Brown can be productive in the slot, and not as a #1 guy. They have an improved defense. They can do things with this team. I think that they will go 13-3-1, and win a playoff game. Lamar is not a running back.

3. Jacksonville Jaguars

Trevor Lawrence WILL save this team. I think moving Etienne to wideout is a good move if he works on his routes, and he can be something special, with the Jags finally getting a true #1 receiver in Marvin Jones Jr in free agency, and DJ Chark as WR2, Etienne and 2nd-year receiver Laviska Shenault, that’s one hell of a core. Yes, TE can be a question mark, (TEBOW IS NOT A TE1!), there are a few guys that can be signed or step up and TE can be average. O-Line is and underrated point of the Jags, i’d say they have a around 10th best-15th best, with stars like Andrew Norwell and Bradon Lidner, and young tackles in Cam Robinson and Jawaan Taylor, and average guard AJ Cann, that is a top-15-10 offense. They have a young and talented D with a few question marks, one being the D-Line, that consists of Roy Robertson-Harris,  Taven Bryan who can be ok, Malcom Brown who is average at best, and rookie Jay Tufele. K’Lavon Chassion can play DE, the 2nd year guy. They have imo, one of the if not the best linebacker core in the NFL, with Myles Jack, Joe Schobert, Josh Allen, and rookie Dylan Moses. Secondary is young, but average at best, with last year’s 8th overall pick, CB CJ Henderson, Shaq Griffin who I think is CB1, and rookie Tyson Campbell. Safety they have rookie Andre Cisco, and Rayshawn Jenkins. It’s a talented roster, and I have them going 12-5, winning the division, and winning 1 playoff game.

2. Washington Football Team

The Football Team has a top 3 D in the NFL. I think they have the best D-Line in the NFL, a really good LB core, good corners and a good safety group, with Landon Collins and last year’s breakout rookie Kam Curl. The big ? for Washington is quarterback. Can Ryan Fitzpatrick do it? Or will Taylor Heinicke be the QB? I think its ultimately going to be Fitzmagic leading the way, and leading Washington to a 14-3, 2 seed season, and a 1st round playoff loss.

1. Carolina Panthers

The Sam Darnold effect will be real. CMC will be the best running back in the NFL this year, and Sam Darnold will be a top 5 quarterback, and one of them will win comeback player of the year. DJ Moore will take a big step up and prove to be WR1, and crack over 1.2 K yards. The D will have a great year, and ultimately, the Darnold-McCaffery-Moore trio will lead the Carolina Panthers to a 12-5 year, division title, #3 seed, and a Super Bowl loss, 34-30 vs the ******* *****.

  1. I like this list. But the Jaguars IMO are the biggest stretch! They are not winning more than 5 games! They just don’t have a good D. And their offense is middle of the pack at best. Also, I think the Panthers can win games but no more then 9, maybe 10. And do you really think WFT can go 14-3!? Better than TB, GB, SEA, LA, SF! I’m excited to see your regular season predictions, because these are crazy. I love a controversial list tho! 🔥👍😎

    1. I think Darnold is the answer! I think he should have been no. 1 pick back in 2018, and he will prove that now that he has a chance. Jags, I really am just a big T-Law supporter. They have a young D but it can be quiet but deadly. A few step ups, and they can be good
