The Minnesota Vikings have traded OT Vederian Lowe to the New England Patriots in return for a sixth round pick.
Lowe was a sixth round pick in 2022 by Minnesota and was set to backup Christian Darrisaw at Left Tackle.
What Does This Mean for Minnesota’s Offensive Line depth?
This move likely means Blake Brandel will move back to Tackle after playing all of camp and preseason at guard.
A interior lineman will likely take his spot now. I’d expect Alan Ali to get a spot. He ran as the backup guard all camp with Chris Reed being on the Non-Football Injury list.
Other Moves Made
The Vikings released LB Tanner Vallejo, LB Wilson Huber, and T Jarrid Williams, per Tom Pelissero of CBS.
The roster sits at 86 and needs to be down to 53 by 3 PM CDT on Tuesday.
