33-34. That’s the final as Greg Joseph misses the 37-yard game winning Field Goal right. Joseph had made 2 52+ yard kicks earlier in the game, and a 52 yarder last week to send the Bengals game to overtime, but he couldn’t clutch up. He also missed a PAT earlier in the game as well. Here is my analysis.
Recap
It was heartbreaking. The Vikings kicking curse had continued. Gary Anderson, Ryan Longwell, Blair Walsh, Daniel Carlson, and more, we add Greg Joseph to the list of kickers who lost us game winners. But the game is not entirely Joseph’s fault. He is 3/3 this year on kick 50+. Zimmer has said that Joseph’s job is safe for now.
The game was a shootout from start to finish by both offenses. The Vikings trio of wide receivers, Adam Thielen, Justin Jefferson, and 2nd-year 6th-round pick out of Miami, KJ Osborn on the second play of the game. Cook had over 150 yards on the ground, Cousins had him self a amazing game. Nick Vigil had a pick 2, and Xavier Woods also has a pick. But at the end of the day, we have to look passed and move on to Seattle for the 2021 home opener.
