After a heartbreaking loss last week against NFC West team the Arizona Cardinals, the Vikings face another NFC East team in the Seattle Seahawks. This is a must-win game for us, to beat a good team at home, and get the much needed first win to avoid falling to 0-3, and ultimately may be 0-4, as we face the Cleveland Browns next week. Alot of things need to be done to win here, so let’s take a look at what I think we need to do in order to win.
Cornerbacks need to step up
The Corners where once again toast against Arizona. A few blown coverages, Breeland played bad once again, and with Harrison Hand going on the COVID list, Dantzler and Boyd are going to be CB4 and 5. Dantzler played good in his 5 snaps vs Arizona, collecting 1 tackle and 1 PBU, its going to be interesting to see who plays more between him, Boyd, and Breeland.
Contain Wilson scrambling and finish sacks
The Vikings had multiple lost sack opportunities against Arizona due to Kyler’s mobility and running away from the pass rush. That cant happen again vs Wilson, and Danielle Hunter can’t be the only one rushing the passer. Id like to see more from the DTs, Pierce, Tomlinson, and Richardson, and the RE’s of Griffin, Weatherly, and Wonnum get to the QB.
Clutch Kicking
Do I even need to elaborate? A missed 37 YARD KICK to win. I have faith in Greg Joseph who is 3/3 on kicks from 50 or more this year to fix what he messed up on, and I know Zimmer is not going lightly on Joseph this week.
