Today the Panthers traded away vet WR Robby Anderson a day after he was kicked out of the game by his own coach. This comes a week after they not only fired head coach Matt Rhule but also their defensive coordinator and assistant special teams coordinator. Not to mention all this week there has been confirmation that at least 4 teams are in talks with the Panthers for RB Christan Mccaffery. So what’s next for the Panthers?
I believe the next move for the Panthers is to ship out CMC for multiple first round picks to start the focus on the future. They need to let Baker play the season out to see what he can do and if they move on or not. They need to clean their QB’s room out because they have spent too much money on QB’s the last few years. We all know Sam Darnold is not the guy for the job let Baker and Coral compete for the job.
For the replacement of Matt Rhule one name they need to look into is Sean Payton as he has said “The job is Attractive.” This would be huge for the organization as players would love to play under him and it would be perfect for any of the QB’s to learn from him. Unfortunately, him going there is unlikely so who else? They may stick with Steve Wilks there intern but some better options would be Dan Quinn DC for the Cowboys, Brian Flores as he had a good run with the Dolphins until he was let go unexpectedly, and finally Eric Bieniemy who has been the OC for the Chiefs since 2018 winning a super bowl with them while getting to another.
Depending on who gets the job they are going to have to win with this team as soon as possible. The Panthers have already said this will not be a fire sale and there are good players on this team. The defense is very young, the offense is the same way. D.J. Moore is very underrated in my eyes.As he has put up some good stat lines with below average QB’s. This is a now or never team as they aren’t getting any younger.
